Mama's 90th Birthday.

Gloria sent an e-mail the other day asking how would we like to celebrate Mama's upcoming birthday. Do we want to do something with just the children or open it to everyone like a family picnic. Both would be fun, but do we have enough time to plan a family affair. What do you think, your comments are important and we would like to hear your thoughts. June 4th is just around the corner so lets get moving. Also lets pass this blog address to everyone, it's definitely the quickest way to post and comment our family business. -Wil

Rent a hall like Benedicts and have it catered and charge everyone a fee per person. Hire a DJ to play music. That would be awesome.Should only be about $20 a head. Just make sure the grand son-in-laws are invited.
That sounds good to me.

I'm not sure who made the comment. However if everyone for now would state their name then we would all know who commented. What I can do is send out invitations for team participants to this blog and that would give you a user name to click on for comments. Drop me an e-mail at my charter address if you're interested.
Alright you got me!
Greetings all,
Keep me in the loop on this. I would love to attend if there is nothing pressing in Dallas.
Hope all is well
Jeanette raises an excellent point. There is nothing more than Mama and Nanan both would love then being with us all, but however a full day of excitement may be more than they care to bare at this time. I agree we need to speak with them to find out what Mama would prefer to do on her birthday. Carol also posed a good suggestion by recommending each family do something on their own with them. Mama enjoys her one on one time with each of us. So again I agree with Jeanette lets ask her and let her decide. However it's obvious that there is much excitement about having a family get together and if we did do something alone with Mama that doesn't preclude us from still having our family get together...we can still plan for that. Definitely would be a great time together.
I told grandma happy birthday and visited with her today because I moved to Newnan, Georgia and will not be able to return by June 4. Hope the party is great! Have Fun
Jeanette you should have been a journalist, you have the perfect knack for it...moment by moment reporting. Yes, Mother's Day was good and it was great visiting with you all and seeing most of the family...and yes we are so blessed to be able to do that.
You asked about the latest on Chris...check out the latest comments under news. I gave an update from his most recent doctor's visit. Love you all, Wil

Being in Pensacola for 4 weeks and calling it work...wow what some people call work. I remember being in Pensacola with the family for 4 days and calling it a vacation...lol. I'm glad mostly everyone is responding to and enjoying the FAMILY AFFAIR site. It's so good hearing from all of you. Tomorrow the siblings will be having lunch with Mama on her 90th. Keith I'm so glad you and your family had such a good time sharing with your Gram, and knowing Mama and Nanan they had a better time being with you! Jeanette my famous journalist, I haven't heard from you lately...nothing to report? Well just wanted to say hi to everyone...take care and God Bless.
Keith, so sorry to hear about your friend's and his son's death in a boat accident. I will keep Jenea and her daughter in my prayers. You are so right about how fleeting life is, and how we need to tell our loved ones how much we love them.
Just wanted to say that today went great with all us siblings celebrating grandma's birthday at Sal and Judy's. We had cake and ice cream at Bev's house after, and even sang "Happy Birthday!"
LISTEN YOU ALL: I'm still pushing for another "Mullet family picnic." Uncle Willie suggested creating another blog for just that subject. (Set it up Will.)
I'm going to need some input on this. Love, Glo
does anyone have a digital photo of grandma? I would love to have one or more if anyone has a good one please send it my way:
mdouzart@oreck.com
Thanks,
Glad to hear that the luncheon went well!
Dear Kieth,
I placed a photo in my profile. You will need to host the photo somewhere like flkir, photobucket, or snapfish and then put the url of the photo into the section of the edit profile section that asks for location of picture.
Hope that helps!
Matt D
(your slightly taller cousin
Keith, What topic would you like to post. Give me the details you are looking for and I will do my best to make it happen.
Kieth and Lisa,
It does not need and html code in the profile section, just the location of the image. Photo bucket should work great, but you never know if direct linking will be aqllowed with these image hosting sites. If you would like to email the photo to me I would be more than happy to provide you a url for its location.
take care,
Matt D
oh man, i just typed a long message and it did not save to the blog. I am out of time.
the cliffs notes:
no need to enter html tags only the url of the photo.
the format would be http://locationofphoto.com
here is a screensghot of what I have in mine:

Happy 90th Birthday Mama,
A Mom is loving, caring and protective of her children. A Mom is a teacher, doctor and a consultant.
My Mom is all those things and more. She has poured herself into all of her children, G children, and GG children and now thanks to Sherri her GGG child. She has shielded us all with her prayers…you know she has that special place with God. My Mom is one terrific person.
Thank you Mom for all your Love, for your Love has been felt by us all and goes on touching the lives of your ever-faithful family.
With all my Love, I wish you a very blessed 90th birthday,
Your Son…Wil
